CPL Round Three: It’s all to play for

By 26th July 2018 2018 News

Well, Sunday’s at Chertsey Cricket Club have been a bit good lately. Following on from a superb Colts Day and enthralling President’s Day, we’ll complete a festive trilogy with the conclusion of the group phase of this year’s CPL.

With one game to go, it really couldn’t be tighter in the race for next month’s Finals Day.

The undefeated Meads Enforcers are the only ones sure of their place in the knockout stages, with the Gogmore Knights, Bourne Stars and Grove Armada all hoping to avoid last place.

If you need a refresher on the previous results, and the current state of the league table, take a look here.

With the fight for the remaining two spots tighter than Jack Lloyd’s wallet, it promises to be a nail-biting day.

It’ll kick off with the Knights taking on the Stars at 1pm. The winners are assured a Finals Day spot, with the losers looking for bonus points and a favourable result from the second match to progress.

Then, at 4pm, the Enforcers and Armada do battle in a re-run of last year’s final. The teams for both games are below.

The bar, burger van and music will all be thriving as usual, so take your seats early to avoid disappointment.
