CPL Finals Day: What To Expect

By 23rd August 2017 February 28th, 2018 2017 News, Club

We’re not sure if we’ve mentioned this yet, but the CPL Finals Day, sponsored by Ewe Move, is this coming Sunday.

Given that this is the showpiece of what has been a hugely successful tournament, added to the fact that it is Bank Holiday the following day, we’ve gone all out.

Here’s a few things that you can look out for:

  • The semi-final will start at 12:00 and sees Gogmore Knights take on Grove Armada.
  • There will be a last-person standing catching competition in between the semi-final and the final.
  • Prizes for the top three, drop a catch you’re out. Sign up by replying to this email or on the day with the scorers.
  • The final will start between 15:45 and 16:00, the unbeaten Meads Enforcers await the winners of the semi.
  • Ex-President Mick Wells is offering a one-off £50 cash prize to any U17 or non-cricketer that takes a crowd catch during the final.
  • Caribbean Corner will be set up on the far side of the ground. Music and drinks are among the many things it will be offering.
  • Two types of van: burger and ice cream
  • Post-final disco
  • Lots, lots more
