The Chertsey Premier League launched last week under basking sunshine, swarmed by spectators (including the odd celebrity), and with some fantastic cricket played.
We’d like to thank everyone that came along to help make the occasion such a success, from the dedicated bar staff and volunteer umpires to the highly technical sound department and picnic fans. It’s days like these that make you realise what a truly spectacular club we have.
On the field there were wins for the Gogmore Knights, led by a scarcely believable knock of 43* from Richard Ley, and Meads Enforcers, for whom Luke Westcott did a lot of damage to our specially-decorated CPL stumps with the ball.
If you missed out on the entertainment we’ve got a few pictures of the day below (thanks Honey Redmond) and three more of these wonderful events to come!
