Chairman’s Message 10 August 2008.

Once again we seam to be moving to the final leg of the season before we really think that the summer has started. The club has continued to move forward generally, although the senior playing side has had another difficult year. But everybody has stuck to it and Super Saturday 2nd August gave us a full house 39 points! Followed up by another nail biting victory for the 2nds, on the 9th when Surrey was pretty much washed out everywhere.
The 2nds and 3rds can both now look down on a number of clubs in the league (www.surreychampionship.com). So come on Dan and the First XI

The ever well supported midweek league is also coming to a climax, with our Academy side in pole position!

On behalf of everyone at the Club, I would like to thank Peter for an excellent President’s Day, earlier this month. Well supported and an entertaining, if low scoring, close match thrown in. Very good to see many old faces again.

The Dinner Dance and awards night is fixed for 25 October, once again at Laleham Golf Club, and I really would love to see a good turn out for what is always a good night. If tickets are paid for before 30th September, the cost will be only £25. Contact Mark for tickets, and find the details at the Social link on this site.

Also on the social side, you should know that there are birthday milestone parties on the horizon for two veteran club members.

I hope to update again soon on various matters that will continue to show that the club is making progress.
Don’t forget, we’re not just looking for playing members. We run social and family memberships too – why don’t you come down and see for yourself? Particularly if you are a lapsed member who we haven’t seen for a while?
